True Love...?

Slow summer nights, walking and talking
speaking of dreams far and wide
convincing yourself while convincing your lover
you have nothing but true love to hide
and this love that you hide you will share with your lover
if your lover would share their heart to?
for the stars in the sky and full moon above them
are saying… it's the right thing to do.

Then slow summer nights turn to cold stormy winters
with all the dreams that you spoke of, forgot
but the truth of your love lives on only to haunt you
knowing the true love once thought had… have not
then all that you share becomes tortured and broken
then its anger and scorn that you hide
now the stars in the sky and full moon above them
only show all the lonely nights they cried.

Be sure your love is true before you waste two lives…
